"I'll turn you into a frog..."

This holiday weekend was filled. With poke and poi for my 4 babies, with korean songs in my head from my recent addiction to Boys Over Flowers, with MUCH rest due to late nights watching Boys Over Flowers with Kamalu, with Kalei waving her princess wand trying to turn Lehua into a frog. With family. With so many good things. Tonight has been filled with the sounds of Kalei and Lehua shrieking with laughter because Mommy was chasing them around the house, and playing baby bowling (you had to be there). The living room was filled with sounds of gunfire and tapping as Daddy and Pumehana comandeered the television in the living room playing Halo Reach.
It was so great to not be pulled in forty different directions. It was wonderful to not be at the mercy of my ever present cell phone. It was relaxing not being tied to the computer. This weekend my car was filled (not the tank, unfortunately), with the sounds of our baby girls singing at the top of their lungs, and with these same said girls telling everyone in the car how much they loved them, and telling us about all the people they loved. Their cousins. Their aunties and uncles. Their grandparents. Their friends.
This weekend was filled with bittersweet memories as we quietly said prayers of thanks to Ke Akua and Na Kupuna for taking care of Tutu/Mom, and telling the girls stories of their tutu as we remembered her birthday.
As we come to the end of this holiday weekend, we in turn are filled with love. With appreciation and gratitude. We are filled with the blessings of our girls' smiles, filled with the strength of 'ohana, and the understanding that we are all a part of each other.
