Catch up!
Geez, SO MANY things have happened since the last post. There's been the death of a treasured person in our life, Uncle Henry Vincent, our hearts are still aching and I imagine in a way, they always will be. We're gearing up for our Vegas trip with KALEA, I'm so excited for everyone! For myself, I'm excited because the hubs gets to paddle canoe again for one, and for another it's been ages since he's participated in a regatta so this is doubly exciting! For myself, I'm excited for him, for the team, and of course to see great friends who are a part of the regatta!
The girls have been growing like mad, Lehua is a regular chatterbox, Kalei is entering into her exploratory phase apparently, she's constantly trying to put things together, take them apart, turning them in her hands to figure out how it works....it's fun to watch. Pume has been a lot more patient with the girls which is great, I'm thinking the amount of hula she watches is a help.
Works been great, always challenges but when you love what you do and the people you do it for, everything else is petty. Our community is growing and whatever small part we are playing in that is humbling, and empowering. You can't stop growth, why would you want to? You just want to ensure that the growth is positive and appropriate, and you can either contribute to that happening or you can waste energy being negative. Anyways.
It's Fall, (did Imention it's my FAAAAAAAAAAAAVORITE time of the year?) and for our 'ohana, that means a trip to Gardener's Village!!! I LOVE that place! Especially on Sundays when most stores are closed so the babies don't get tempted by all the little knick knacks which are always within reach, and because there aren't the massive crowds like on Saturdays in the Fall. And yet all the cute scenery is still there for us to "ooh and ahh" over.

Where has the summer gone?
Apparently I blinked and missed it. The summer that is. I look outside and already the creeping signs of Fall are making their way across the mountains and the trees. Fall is my favorite season (Whoohoo MAKAHIKI!) but our summer has been so packed with events, activities, and work, it almost seems as though we missed the chance to fully enjoy the sunny weather. So I'm a little sad. My babies will only ever have ONE summer for each of their as yet little lives, and before we know it, our 16 year old will be a bonafide adult. Looks like I've got some catching up to do, and some planning to do for a bunch of Fall activities, specifically for the family. Here are some photos that I DID manage to capture from this su
mmer.

Yes the pics are crooked and not at all aesthetically pleasing (definitely not to ME and my OCD self) BUT. I'm forunate to have snagged the few minutes I did, to post an entry, and I'll have to be happy and appreciative of that.
